We were dancing

Scenography / miniature and audiovisual collage / 2025

Falling in love can create a temporary sense of distance from everything else. A moment in which ordinary concerns lose their significance, and the feeling of being together seems more important than anything beyond it.

Inspired by Noël Coward's We Were Dancing, this project explores the fragile intensity of such a moment. In the play, two people fall deeply in love over the course of a single evening, swept up in the conviction that what they have found will last. Yet with the arrival of morning, that certainty begins to dissolve, and what seemed endless is revealed to have belonged only to the night.
